In the world of Broadway musicals, everyone wants to be a hit. Often times a musical ends up with a song or two that everyone catches on and that is how the musical becomes known. As an avid Broadway fan, I know a ridiculous amount of lyrics and tunes by heart and they truly do have the power to bring your mood from 0 to 100 in a matter of minutes.

1. Wicked

Wicked tells the story directly before The Wizard of Oz. It tells the tale of two girls, one a green witch and the other a perfect "princess" that become unlikely friends and face several challenges along the way.

2. Legally Blonde

Elle Woods finds herself dumped by her boyfriend for someone more "serious" and decides to get into Harvard law proving her worth. Along the way, she happens to find someone who doesn't think she needs to be serious in order to be a good lawyer.

3. Waitress

Jenna doesn't love her husband but she is having his baby no matter what. All goes wild when she falls for her doctor and he falls back.

4. Dear Evan Hansen

Evan, a high school boy with severe anxiety disorder is suggested to write letters to himself in order to improve. Another boy named Connor finds Evan's letters and shortly after commits suicide, and Evans letters are found in his room. Because of this, everyone thinks Connor and Evan were secretly best friends and now Evan is faced with figuring out how to keep Connor's life and his lies together.

5. Into the Woods

A baker and his wife are trying to have a baby, an evil witch, red riding hood trying to reach her grandmother, princes, and princesses and Jack and his cow all come together in a crazy adventure to make it through the wood.

6. Hairspray

Tracy just wants to be famous but will her size get in the way? She doesn't think so. Living her dream and dealing with all the controversy of 1962 takes Tracy on an adventure she will never forget.

7. Mamma Mia

Sophie is getting married and although she loves her mom more than anything, she feels like something is missing, her dad. Taking her mothers journal leads her to three possible options and she invites them all. With a surprised mother and loving friends and family, Sophie spends the musical trying to figure out who her real dad is.

8. Grease

Grease follows a group of high school students in the 50's and tells the story of lives. Will the love from summer continue? And how will all the high school drama affect these kids and their lives, relationships, and friendships?

9. Rent

Rent focuses on a group of adults in the 90s living in New York and deal with struggles in their love life, friendship, and the effect of the AIDS epidemic in their community.

10. Beauty and the Beast

Belle finds herself taking her father's place as a prisoner in a faraway castle, living with a cruel beast. As the story progresses she gets to know the beast and everyone living in the castle. With her newfound knowledge, Belle makes her place in the castle and falls in love the everyone there, including the beast, so much so that she ends up saving his life.

No matter what style of music you prefer, musicals somehow have a way of bringing the mood up and bringing people together. So, if you ever feel yourself slipping into a bad mood, put on some show tunes and turn that mood back around.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
