My Boyfriend And I Started Working Out Together, He's The Gym Buddy I Needed All Along

Recently, my boyfriend and I really started working out together. It's actually pretty fun! I never thought that I would be the person who would enjoy working out, but I have really started liking it. We've been going a couple of times a week for the most part, and it has been a really great new hobby for us. Not only is it fun to do, but it's actually good for our health — a win-win!

We are slowly learning more about what we want to do and how we want to work out together. We've taken it slow and have worked on building our stamina to keep building up our strength. It has been so cool seeing how easily I can grow in my strength and stamina after just slowly adding a little more on each time we go. Luckily, my boyfriend knows more about the gym than I do so he is able to help me and we are able to work together on a lot of the exercises that we do. Being able to have someone go with you to the gym is SO helpful. Not only do you have someone to be able to do things with, but you have an accountability partner who will be there to support you through it all.

Being able to go to the gym with someone allows you to feel more confident in your workout because you know you have someone to do it with you — you aren't alone. There is such a wonderful feeling knowing that you have someone else suffering the same way you are! Kidding...kind of.

I have reached the point where I am actually excited when we get to go to the gym. It may be hard sometimes, but no pain no gain, right? Plus, it is all for a good cause. I feel so much better after I go to the gym both physically and mentally. I really understand now why people spend so much time at the gym. Not only is this something that I enjoy, but I love that I get to spend time with my boyfriend while working out. It has really become a new fun activity for both of us to do. It is fun for me because it is something that my boyfriend enjoys doing and I get to spend time with him while we do something that he enjoys.

It is so unique being able to do something with the person you love that is something they love.

You get to show that you care about what they care about. And on top of that in this case, you both get to be healthier and more fit! In the end, whether you go with your significant other or even just with a friend, find the right person and working out can become such fun, especially if you weren't a huge fan of it before. Don't knock it till you try it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
