My boyfriend is also my best friend and I think it's perfectly okay.

My boyfriend and I started out as friends before we started dating. We were already building that friendship level before ever thinking of adding to it a relationship. But from the beginning, it was never just us being boyfriend and girlfriend. We've always leaned towards being best friends too. Sometimes I'll be asked why I would want my boyfriend to be my best friend or if I get tired of constantly being with him.

To those answers, I say no I never get tired of him and I want him to be my best friend because he's my person and the only person I want to experience life with.

Having him be both my boyfriend and best friend makes our connection stronger in so many ways. Not to mention our trust level is higher because we're each other personal diaries when something happens even if it's not related to our relationship we run to tell other. We constantly keep each other in the loop about everything.

I tell my boyfriend everything, from a bad day at work to ranting about nonsense with him, he's my go-to guy. Developing a relationship and friendship with him has been the best thing for our relationship. It's makes running errands that much more enjoyable because just like any pair of best friends would do, we goof off and just make the most out of our time.

Don't even get me started on going on dates or hanging out with friends because nothing compares to it really. I'm not a social person I'll take staying in watching Netflix over anything just about every day. So having him with me when we go out with or without friends makes me a social person because I have my person with me.

I became best friends with my boyfriend naturally, it was just something that felt right. We didn't become best friends because we're dating. We didn't force it or have this idea in our head that we absolutely had to be best friends, it just sorta happened and I'm blessed it did. I think it happened so naturally becasue of the guy he is and the heart he has. Not only is our relationship something special but our friendship is something special also.

Having him be my best friend makes so much sense because at the end of the day he's the only one I want to tell everything too.
