To The Boy Who Will Always Have My Heart

To the boy who will always have my heart,

We all have at least one in our lives. The one boy who made us believe that they were going to be the one forever. The one who made us believe not only in them, but also in ourselves. The one who everyone knew we cared about, and the one that will be with us forever. In my life, you are that one.

We did not end badly, we just ended because it was time to. There is nothing to do about it now even though I sometimes wonder day in and day out what could have been if we both would have fought just a little bit harder. I also wonder that if in your life, I am that one too.

We may not end up together in the long run, and we may never speak again. We may fall madly in love, and we may find another person to take each other’s place. Regardless of the situation, you are a milestone in my life that once made me feel invincible. But at the end of the day, it was time to let go. Let go of the feeling, let go of the relationship, let go of the past.

Even though you are the one in my life, you still are to thank for what you have taught me. Thank you for teaching me what I deserve. Thank you for teaching me how to let go of something that means so much to me no matter how hard it is. Thank you for showing me that what I once thought was my forever was only temporary. Thank you for being one of the most important people in my life still to this day. Thank you for believing in me while you could, and giving me something to believe in. Thank you for fighting the good fight with me, even when it hurt us most. And most importantly, thank you for being someone who will always have my heart.
