A Bond That Can Never Be Broken

A bond so strong can never be broken. Especially, if they mean the world to you.

A Bond That Can Never Be Broken
"If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile... But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me." ~ Unknown

Amari B. Haskins: She's an Aries. She is smart, kind, funny, talented, unique in her own way and very outgoing. But no words can describe how great of a sister she is to me.

Ebony L. Burgess: She's an Aquarius. She is smart, crazy in a good way, unique in her own way, funny, outgoing, and words also cannot explain how great of a sister she is to me as well.

I've known them for quite some time, and I would say they have changed my life in a great way. The crazy thing is, I feel we were destined to know each other, and that's why God brought us together. I thank Him for letting me find two wonderful people. What is great about these two people in my life is they are more than just my best friends -- they are my sisters, my family, and my everything. As people say on social media with a hashtag, "#abondthatcanneverbebroken."

You know what it feels like to have someone. Maybe you do or maybe you don't, but regardless, someone is out there who loves you or wants you in their life. It may take time and some people to realize the tough things in life. Don't block people out of your life. Sooner or later, you will need them. At times, you may regret saying to your loved ones, "I hate you," "I wish you never existed," etc., but, you shouldn't feel that way or say things like that when they love you.

I wish words like hate never existed. Having two lovely sisters, we never hated each other. Yes, maybe we said it in a playful way but not in a rude, obnoxious way.

A bond with your best friends is one of the strongest bonds of all, besides having a bond with family and God.

I love these two very much! The day of our senior lunch

As I get to know their goofy selves, day by day I never regret meeting these two lovely human beings. At times, I wish I could go back to high school just to be with both of them. Not seeing them every day in class or after school makes me feel we spend less time with each other. "Are we still going to be with each other after graduation?" So far so good -- we are here all together and stronger than ever.

Ever wondered what it would be like without your best friends? How your heart would not be a whole again or how you would become a completely different person? The crazy thing is, I've imagined the worst, but knowing I have these two is a blessing.

My best friends and I don't need a test to know each other because we already do. We have a bond so strong that no one can break it. Not even a guy would get between us.

During English class, we had a couple of laughs! Actually, I would say a lot. We were always rocking the blue -- blue hair, blue hoodie, blue everything!

The students around us made us laugh, and we sat there and laughed with them. All the jokes, craziness, and laughter made our bond a bond. We have yet to notice a time when everything is gone, gone downhill. Everything is going uphill. Some people think a bond is nothing, but having more than one person in your life is having a connection. It's also knowing when your friends, family, or loved ones are in danger and knowing them inside out.

My sisters and I will always have each other's backs no matter what happens to us. They have my back, and I have theirs. Being miles and miles away in a different state makes me miss my sisters so much. The last time I saw them was once during the summer. After that, we tried to make plans but something would get in the way. It's really sad, but we already knew we would be together again soon. We are always "the life of the party," figuratively speaking. We don't need to be at a party just to be the life of the party. At home, outside, the mall, or wherever, we enjoy ourselves and make memories.

We've made memories to cherish and remember. They are the memories made for our future families to share with as stories and to make us and those around us happy.

One thing I can tell you about friendship is, they don't all last. Yes, it may seem harsh and cruel in a way, but it is true. Take and my sisters and me for instance. We've lasted because we don't fight over guys or the little things that don't matter. We are strong, courageous, smart, and intelligent enough to know what's best for us all. Things may get a little out of hand at times, but we never let anything get in our way. We are grown and almost twenty-one years of age, and that makes me feel like we are old but old in a good way. We had so many throwbacks in high school. Even people our age are hip about old songs, artists, movies, and other things. We were born in the mid to late 90's and grew up in the 2000s.

Whether we are a state or two away, it doesn't mean our bond is gone. It means that if we stick together, our bond is stronger than ever.

Cute little smile!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
