Bodysuits: A Love Story
Fashion Bomb Daily

The bodysuit is by far one of the most popular and relevant trends to date. One simple piece is the driving force behind countless iconic looks and can be taken from season to season with the right pairings. Why do so many women choose the bodysuit as a staple these days? The explanations are endless. For beginners, they eliminate the entire “tuck in” situation and the annoyance that comes with a top that fits too loosely. Any clothing item that simplifies the “getting ready” process is one that should stick around indefinitely. Another reason why women are absolutely loving the bodysuit trend is because of its ability to flatter any figure and mimic the smoothing qualities of actual body shapers. For fall, they pair well with anything high-waisted and can provide a peek of seduction underneath a leather or denim jacket. The other amazing thing about bodysuits is all of the different ways they’re being designed due to the acceleration of the trends popularity. This season, Zara released the trend in velvet, killing two fall trend birdies with one stone. It’s a miracle that bodysuits are being sold everywhere right now, and in hundreds of different styles.

Some may have been skeptics of the beloved trend, and it makes sense— bodysuits were strictly shown off as active apparel long before the fashion world got a hold of them. It may seem a little strange that a literal leotard is one of the most necessary pieces of the season, but something so unbelievably flattering and versatile should be available to everyone. Athletic clothes are no longer worn for just working out, and a bodysuit no longer needs to exist solely for dancers and gymnasts. There is magic in re-purposing!

Whether it’s a bodysuit imitating a camisole worn underneath a blazer to achieve “business professional” or a sexy lace-up one-piece with a plunging neckline perfect for a cocktail party, a bodysuit can master the perfect look…for both work and play.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
