Go Vote Because It's the Right and Responsible Thing to Do!

Clearly, Not Everybody Believes in Their Own Civic Responsibility, and That Kind of Ignorance Has To Quit!

Go Vote Because It's the Right and Responsible Thing to Do!

HOLY COW & WOW!!

Yesterday, I saw the most frightening thing! Unfortunately, this awful thing that terrified me happened to be another email from Odyssey advertising their new, top stories, and bearing the title "You Definitely Should NOT Vote This Election Season."

Well, that ignorance hit me like a ton of bricks and I went to the site hoping this essayist was using sarcasm, irony, some kind of writing trick where even though those words were written, it wasn't because it was meant to be descriptive of what they believed.

Unfortunately and again to my great dismay, this was not the case! But worse than this, was the hit that came when I searched those words and an endless page of similar essays was returned to me.

Thankfully, some of these essays were the sarcastic kind of "don't vote" essays I originally hoped I'd find. But again, these essays were equally matched with idiots saying voting doesn't matter or that it is too complicated for them to attempt trying. Nor did they want or care to learn how it matters. No matter which reason they employed, it sounds like apathetic, indifferent, ignorant bullshit and that's the stuff that continues to frustrate and disappoint me.

But it's also why I'm writing this and sharing it, however, I can. Additionally, I'm going to add a link to this excellent site called Vote411.org that I stumbled upon when I searched "voting guide." I haven't yet made it through all the information they've given me based on my location, which provides the information relevant to me and to the things I need to know before going to the polls on November 6, 2018. Sure, it's a lot of information to take in, but this is a case where I'd rather have access to more information than to be left wanting to know what's happening. Especially when considering how desperately tricky politics tend to be!

Already, I've been overwhelmed by all of it because everything that I've heard is nothing more than double-talking, mud-slinging, rival-kicking negative ads against opponents with all kinds of discombobulated informational bits without any relevancy or context about when it was said or why. Tricky, tricky!

Although, I'm sure it's easier to manufacture and manipulate a message against the other than it is to run the risk of saying what they personally like to do by disclosing their intended plans, histories, responsibilities, and lines of thought and thinking. But that's the way it is with politics! There a nasty game that only the arrogant and crazy like to play!

Nevertheless, that's how the system remains and nothing's going to change on its own. And more than that, come November 6, somebody's going to win political powers to represent individuals state-by-state, and because of this, I've already come to love this step-by-step voting guide and all the information it provides.

So please, if you're one of these "educated" individuals going around advising others not to vote because it's complicated, or because you don't like any of the crazies in the race, you need to STOP IT!! Your IGNORANCE MUST BE BLISS! Obviously, it has to be as there's no way someone with any kind of intelligence would so happily say such a shamefully stupid thing, let alone, write an essay advising others to do the same. And that has to stop because THE STUPIDITY IS SPREADING!! Somehow, together we've got to shut these idiotic, anti-voting morons down!

Let's just think about this midterm election like it is – little clumps of candidates applying for the same jobs, with each and every one of us deciding who gets it.

So, learn a little bit about what they think and believe; hopefully by finding a source that's as unbiased and informing as it can be. Then, on November 6, 2018, get out there and vote!

Somebody's going to win these representative seats so, LET'S VET THAT MEAT BEFORE IT GETS THE SEAT!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
