For the last few years, I have loved to read blogs in my free time. I also like to think writing for Odyssey is my version of writing a blog. From fashion to food to fitness to faith to family (say that 5 times fast), there are so many fabulous bloggers you should be following right now:

1. Carly Heitlinger @CarlyThePrepster.

I've been following Carly for as long as I can remember. She's one of my favorite fashion bloggers, and she is someone I aspire to be. She is so down-to-earth and has two of the cutest dogs.

2. Sydney Carver @SummerWind.

Sydney is another fabulous fashion blogger. Her style is very classic, and her personality seems so friendly.

3. Kate Padgitt @ LonestarSouthern.

Kate is so cute and is the quintessential southern gal. Her style is super trendy, and her outlook on life is very positive.

4. Lauren Sims @LaurenKaySims.

Lauren is a new-to-me blogger, but I instantly fell in love with how genuine she is. I envy the wonderful trips she takes, and I am so excited to see what life as a mama will bring her.

5. Krista Robertson @CoveringTheBases.

Krista may be one of the funniest fashion bloggers out there. I love how her style is classic and trendy at the same time, and that she is never afraid to try new things.

6. Robyn Nohling @TheRealLifeRD.

Robyn is an absolutely fabulous anti-diet dietician, and I love how her posts influence women to live life without food rules.

7. Kylie Mitchell @ImmaEatThat.

Kylie is so fun, and her daughter, Jo, is precious. She is another anti-diet dietician who posts awesome recipes that anyone can make. I also love how real and open she is.

8. Jen Eddins @PeanutButterRunner.

Jen is any yoga gal's dream teacher. She is very authentic and posts great (but also super hard) workouts. She also just had a son, Finn, who is adorable.

9. Janae Baron @HungryRunnerGirl.

Janae is another blogger I've been following from the beginning. I loved following her as I ran cross-country in high school, and even as an ex-runner now. Her love for sweet treats, family, and running are all things I strive for.

10. Sarah Patrick @ClassyGirlsWearPearls.

Sarah may be one of the classiest people on the internet. Her style is so pretty and she seems genuinely happy. Her life in New England looks so fun, and I'm jealous of all the places she travels.

11. Naomi Davis @LoveTaza.

Naomi is a fabulous blogger who cares so deeply for her family. Her three (soon to be 5) kiddos always make smile, and I love to see their adventures around New York City.

12. Amy Littleson @IBelieveInPink.

Amy is so cute and fun. She is one of those people that seems to belong on an island that is summer year round. I also love how colorful her style and personality is.

13. Dorothy Walton @PrepInYourStep.

Dorothy is another blogger I've followed from the beginning, and she is such a light. She seems to be so positive and organized- which is something I envy. Her style is classic, and I love how she mixes things up.

14. Rachel Timmerman @ SomethingDelightful.

Rachel is a fab fashion blogger who has the prettiest hair. She is very down to earth, and I love how she coordinates outfits with her precious daughter, Madeline.

15. Teri Adams @AFoodieStaysFit.

Teri is another new to me blogger, and I love how funny and real she is. Her Instagram Stories always crack me up when she films her dog and husband. She loves to run and has amazing taste in fashion.

I look to a lot of these ladies for inspiration- whether it be fashion, fitness, or faith. I'm usually pretty picky about which bloggers I follow. My one criteria for bloggers is that they have a positive outlook on life, despite whatever setbacks they may have. I love how positive and encouraging each of these bloggers are, and I hope you find the same.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
