My favorite genre for TV Shows is Sci-Fi. I love alternate realities and I always imagining myself living in the setting of the show I'm watching. These are my absolute favorite Sci-Fi shows that I rewatch all the time because I cannot get enough of them. If you have any suggestions for me, feel free to comment!

1. Battlestar Galactica (2004 Reboot)

Man-made Cylons rebelled against their human creators in a civil war. This show is set during the second Cylon-Human war after the Twelve Colonies have been destroyed by the Cylons. The humans, almost completely wiped out, are setting out to find the legendary thirteenth colony: Earth. The Cylons are bent on revenge and want nothing more but complete annihilation of the human race. Treachery and struggle will have you clung to the edge of your seat while the fleet jumps through the galaxy looking for their new home.

You'll feel like Fred and Carrie from Portlandia when they watched Battlestar Galactica for the first time.

2. LOST

After a plane crash survivors find themselves on a strange, seemingly deserted tropical island. They are forced to work together to survive as they wait for help to arrive. The island grows more and more odd each episode and incredible coincidences shroud each character every episode. You might have to watch this show a few times (for your own viewing pleasure-I have watched it four times!)

3. The 4400

4400 people that have disappeared since the 1940's have suddenly reappeared in single ball of light

in Washington. Each person that has come back has unique abilities and has no memory of their time gone and they have not aged a single day since they left. The circumstances around their disappearance are mysterious. With a unique and enjoyably unpredictable plot line, you are guaranteed to binge this show.

4. Continuum

In a future dominated by corporations, a terrorist organization has taken it to the extreme with violent bombings to deter the corporations from controlling the government even further. On the day of the execution of some of the members of the terrorist organization, the main character Keara finds herself sent back in time when the members use time travel to travel to the year 2012 (from 2077). Keara is trying to find her way home. If you watch this show you will be taken through an emotional journey through time.

5. Ascension

In this TV mini series you follow the individuals aboard the Ascension as they deal with the first murder in the history of the century-long mission to journey to a new planet. How exactly did a gun get aboard the Ascension? This show is bingeable in one day!
