6 Disney Movies You Can Binge-Watch All Weekend On Netflix

Here for a while, I have had my doubts about Netflix. If you know anything about me, you know I am not much of a television watcher. I only like very specific reality shows, and a small number of movies. I've had a subscription to Netflix for many years, however never used it more than twice a week.

As the summer has approached, I have found myself turning on the television, way more than I ever have in the past 10 months. Netflix has recently stepped up their game in their selection of older and current Disney movies. I am very impressed with their recent downloads, and this inner throwback Disney movie fanatic is so happy. Here is a list of must-see Disney Movies to enjoy over the summer:

1. Bridge to Terabithia

This Disney Classic was a far-fetch for me back in the year 2007. I never in a million years thought I would enjoy a movie produced in the woods, however – it was a personal favorite of mine!

2. High School Musical

Hands down – the best movie series of all time. You can never get enough of Gabriella and Troy, as well as Sharpay's adventures. Maybe that's why I grew up to be so sassy, who really knows at this point?!

3. Pirates of the Caribbean

I probably don't strike you as a pirate lover, and truth is – you are right. However, the Walt Disney Productions crew did an outstanding job with this series of films and I have grown to have a deeper appreciation for their storylines as I have gotten older

4. Holes

Way back in the day, I remember reading the book Holes in my fifth grade class. At the time, I remember thinking how ridiculous it must be to be reading a book about boys digging holes. After watching the movie, I must say – that the storyline is much better on screen!

5. Moana

Yes, I said it. Moana is a new personal favorite of mine and the producers of this film did an amazing job with the characters, songs, and animation of this story. It seems as if each Disney princess movie, gets better each time.

6. Finding Dory

Finding Nemo was one of my favorite movies growing up, and the Finding Dory movie has filled every bit of excitement I had ever dreamt of.

The Walt Disney company has done a phenomenal job over the past several decades to create movies for children and families to enjoy for many years after their debut. I remember way back in the day when purchasing Disney DVD's was a true treat because they were nearly twenty-five dollars per copy. Now, we are lucky enough to have these treasured movies at the end of our fingertips. While you are home this summer, take a couple of nights to enjoy these movies that are so graciously uploaded to one of the most used technology platforms across the country!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
