We all know that nothing is worse than finishing a great show and thinking well, nothing will be able to compare to that. A good show is a good friend: dependable, there to entertain and comfort you always. But don’t worry, because a new year means a new list of shows to binge watch and to help you get through those dark and lonely nights. Here’s a list of some must-see shows for your binge-watching addiction.
1. Game of Thrones
Season 5 is finally premiering this spring, so now is the time to catch up. With power and dominance being the central themes, this medieval show is unlike any other. It's always interesting as it interweaves several plot lines set on fictional continents, allowing you to vicariously live out your dreams of being king.
2. House of Cards
This is sure to be your favorite political thriller. Season 3 premieres this February and Frank Underwood, being the ultimate anti-hero, always brings something shocking to the screen.
3. True Detective
Season 1 will be hard to beat, but with its ensemble cast in Season 2, including Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn, this drama will definitely be worth watching.
4. Girls
Season 4 premieres this week, continuing a hilarious and relatable story about a few 20-somethings struggling to find what life has in store for them in New York City.
5. Friends
I know you've seen Friends, but now all 10 seasons are finally on Netflix. 'Nuff said.
6. American Horror Story
Do not watch this alone.
Disclaimer: AHS will give you nightmares.
7. Downton Abbey
I was skeptical at first, but this British drama series leaves me feeling classier than ever. It follows the lives of the Crawley family and their servants in the family's massive estate.
All-in-all, I hope this will help to feed your binge-watching addiction.
