If you know me, you know that I love a good TV show to binge through the summer. A friend of mine recommended I watch a show called Superstore. Me, being the TV sceptic I am, didn't want to watch the show simply because it didn't seem interesting. But one night my insomnia got the best of me, so I decided to try watching it. And let me tell you - my life was changed.
All 3 seasons of Superstore are on Hulu, and I finished all 55 episodes in less than a week because I loved the show so much. Here's why you should watch it too:
1. The HILARITY
GiphySuperstore captures hilarious moments between co-workers at Cloud Nine, making viewers laugh out loud. Moments such as the day Jonah and Amy dress up like Minions, make the show hysterical!
2. The Awkwardness
GiphyI have never seen awkwardness so greatly captured in a TV series! Superstore does an amazing job of portraying awkward moments of everyday life, such as liking a person who doesn't like you back, getting caught doing things you shouldn't be and talking about religion in the workplace when you're not allowed to!
3. The Romance
GiphyEven in a comedy show like Superstore, there's a hint of romance riddled throughout the series that will have you obsessing over the next episode
4. It's Lighthearted
GiphyQuite often, every time I turn on the TV I find myself watching shows that are sad or full of let downs. Superstore, although it deals with its fair share of problems, the show never gets too depressing!
6. They Aren't Pushing An Agenda
GiphyMany of the TV series that air now are full of political and personal agendas. After a while, I find myself turning the TV off because I'm annoyed with an unnecessary point being made through out the show. Superstore contains controversial ideas, but doesn't take sides, for example, a staff member is undocumented, but the show doesn't take a side either way on the issue - which is REFRESHING!
7. The Appropriateness
GiphyOne of my favorite things about Superstore is they have made it appropriate for most viewers. Swear words are bleeped out, and any kind of inappropriate gesture or hand signal is blurred out.
8. The Imperfections
GiphyHow many times have you watched a TV series where it seems like every thing goes right for the main character? Not Superstore. Superstore doesn't make their characters perfect, instead they deal with problems just like you and me, which makes it more relatable.
9. The Characters
GiphyFor me, the reason I couldn't get enough of Superstore were the characters themselves. Like I've mentioned earlier, they're relatable, seemingly real people, that make you never want to turn it off!
10. Season 4 is Coming Soon
GiphyThe worst part about Superstore is it's not airing right now - but no worries, Season Four is not far away!
After reading this, I'm sure you're dying to watch Superstore, so head over to Hulu and turn it on!!
Always,
HMS
