7 Bill Belichick Gifs That Describe A Part Of College

For football fans and non-football fans alike.

If the title of this article doesn't give it away enough, I'll go ahead and say it: I'm a New England Patriots fan. I grew up in Vermont (which is yes, a state, and yes, part of New England), an experience which provides you with a love for maple syrup and local sports teams, and a dislike for imitation syrup and anyone who speaks ill of Tom Brady.

For those of you who aren't an NFL fan, or if you just aren't that familiar with the Patriots, I'll fill you in: Bill Belichick is the beloved curmudgeon who head coaches my team. He's known for his sleeveless hoodies and his attitude. Both are very entertaining. Besides having hilarious antics, he's also had a huge impact on the team's performance. (People call it the "Patriots Dynasty" after all.) It's likely why his getting hired as head coach in 2000 is Patriots fans' favorite moment in the team's history. I don't know if New Englanders were that pumped at the time, but man, did it pay off.

So, to honor BB's hilarious ways, here are seven gifs that describe a part of college.

1. When your roommate eats your food without asking.

NOT. COOL.

2. When you finally get your class schedule set and have to go through the dash of actually signing up for them.

The system of registering for classes can be stressful to say the least. When you FINALLY reach your time slot and furiously try to register, it's a mad dash of hopefully lots of, "YES, YOU, I GOT IT," rather than, "NO, NO, NO."

3. When the professor is taking 36 years to go over the syllabus.

This is especially the case when you're a few years into college. It's the same song and dance in the first classes of every semester. PLEASE just tell us the important pieces of information and let us go… not the same things we've heard from every other professor.

4. When you see someone you know walking on campus and awkwardly try to get their attention.

You have to do that dance where you don't want to say "hi" too loudly, but then it's not loud enough, so you have to say it 2-3 more times and do a huge wave to get their attention. All for a "oh, hey!" back from them usually. Worth it? Nah. Going to keep doing it? Sure am.

5. When you go home during break and see your OG BFF.

You might have a college best friend or a close roommate, but going home to see your OG can be incredibly comforting. Maybe it's the comfort of home, but still. Reunions on breaks are fun.

6. When you get your grade and it’s better than you expected.

This is seriously one of the greatest gifts in college (besides free food). Thinking you did poorly or just okay on something, only to find out your got an A? Cha-ching.

7. When you get your grade and it’s worse than you expected.

This is never a great feeling. But what's done is done, so you kind of just have to pretend you're okay with it and move on.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
