September 6 marks the start of the most wonderful time of the year – fashion week! Or, to be more specific, weeks.

Take out your color-coded planners and save the dates in your calendars, because these next few weeks are packed with fashion shows, interviews, and extravaganzas.

This year, you'll even be able to live stream some of the shows so even if you're not in New York, London, Paris, or Milan, you'll still feel like you're front row at the show, even though you're most likely just front row to the snacks you'll be eating while runway models are looking like snacks.

As I said, we have four great weeks filed with events of which I'll be detailing the times and locations in upcoming articles! But for now, we'll start with the longest, and probably most iconic fashion show of them all: New York Fashion Week.

Usually, if you're late, you're fashionably late. But this year, we strive to be fashionably early. NYFW kicked off the week with events on Wednesday, September 5th including a live stream of Tom Ford.

The rest of the week will go a little something like this:

Thursday, September 6

Daniel Cloke – 10 a.m.

Noon by Noor – 11 a.m.

Vivienne Westwood – 12 p.m.

Maybelline Event – 3 p.m. (livestream available)

Pamella Roland – 3 p.m.

Xchange Fashion Show – 5 p.m.

You can buy tickets for this show! This event will consist of an exchange of art, culture, and fashion and is a highly-recommended show to go to if you're in the area.

Jeremy Scott – 9 p.m.

Friday, September 7

Tory Burch – 10 a.m. (livestream available)

Hellessy – 12 p.m.

Jason Wu – 1 p.m.

Kate Spade NY – 1 p.m. (livestream available)

Fashion Palette – 3 p.m.

Sherri Hill – 5:30 p.m. (live stream available)

Chromat – 6 p.m.

Ralph Lauren – 8 p.m.

The Blonds – 9 p.m.

This show was my personal favorite from last year's NYFW, so be sure to check the collection out!

R13 – 12 p.m.

Another one of my favorites due to Siriano's use in diverse and different models in his show! Highly recommend watching this show.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
