If you have hair that is big enough to have its own gravitational pull, then you can understand the bittersweet issues that can come with it. Having big hair problems aren't the worst things in the world, but when you experience them they can put a damper on your day (but like only for 10 minutes max).

Coming from a person who experiences these problems at least once a day, I would say that although having big hair can cause me to experience not-so-pleasant things other people do not, having these problems I would say kind of makes me feel special.

So without further ado, here are a few things people with big hair can relate to.

1. Wearing hats can be the biggest struggle

It can be really hard to find a hat big enough to fit on top of your hair. For me, it is the hardest thing to shop for. When I am able to find a hat big enough, I usually end up looking something like the photo above.

I love hat days, but whenever I do wear a hat it seems that I always forget that I'm wearing it. Trying to control my hair in order for it to fit under a hat does not always perfectly work. My hair usually just pushes the hat up. With my hat pushed up, I can't feel it on my head and I just forget that I am wearing it. Sometimes I also do this awkward thing where I look up to make sure my hat hasn't flown off or something.

2. It gets caught in everything

No matter how hard I try to bend low enough for my hair not to get caught in a tree branch, somehow I still end up with a leaf in my hair.

Instead of looking like this,

I look like this after getting my hair aggressively pulled by a tree branch.

3. It is a major view blocker

I'm the type of person who prefers to sit up front. I mostly do this as a way to stay awake and to be able to see easily, whether it's in class or on the bus. With the type of hair that I have, sitting in front isn't always great for the people sitting behind me. I have been able to block a few definitions on the chalkboard in class from the person sitting right behind me.

Having big hair will definitely cause you to experience certain things - but the same goes for people with long hair, short hair, thin hair or even no hair. We all will go through certain things because of what is or isn't on top of our heads. The most important thing is to see these "problems" as unique experiences and to continue rocking our looks!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
