The look that I get from people when I mention that I have eight biological siblings all the from the same parents is forever engrained in my mind and always the same with every person. It is usually an expression of surprise and awe, followed closely by a comment like "oh my gosh, all from the same two parents?" "that's crazy! I can't even imagine having that many," or sometimes it's just the simple "wow." And yes, I do love my big family. However, there are definitely some pros and cons, as only known by my fellow members-of-abnormally-large-families:
1. The big, gas-guzzling vehicle. The only one that will carry your family, lock stock and barrel, from point A to point B. Usually a 15 passenger. Generally loud and ugly.
2. This little gem right here.
3. Also, this little gem as well.
4. When this is actually normal grocery shopping.
5. The look when yet another person says you have enough people to form your own sports team.
6. Slyly hiding food so that's it's not demolished by the hungry sibs.
7. Discovering that they still found it and ate it.
8. Every single meal.
9. When your mom be like:
10. Knowing at the end of the day that your fam actually rocks.
