8 Must-haves to keep you warm this winter
Even though I was constantly told to pack warm clothes whenever I mentioned where I would be going college in the fall, I had no idea what winter would bring when I started at Syracuse. Here are 8 items that I have grown attached to throughout the year that will hopefully help keep you warm this winter:
1. Duck boots

In the rain or snow, these are my favorite type of winter boot. They are comfortable, easy to slide on, and have enough room to wear cozy socks.
2. Long puffy down coat

I'm so glad I bought one of these for school. I don't need to layer jackets at all to keep warm walking to class, I just need my down coat!3. Big knit scarf

Whether it is hand-made or store-bought, knit scarves will keep your neck and face warm on the chilliest of winter days.4. Cozy socks
[Pictured: Cabin Socks]
I was recently given Cabin Socks for Christmas, and they are the comfiest socks I've ever worn. They aren't bulky and can fit easily under boots. They're even aloe infused!5. Moccasins

What isn't great about moccasins? You can wear them as slippers inside or with jeans as a casual look to class.6. Quarter-zip sweater
[Pictured: Patagonia]
Another gift I received this Christmas was a quarter-zip sweater from Patagonia. I love this sweater because it is perfect for layering and super-warm. Its not bulky, but there is still enough room to wear another shirt underneath without feeling too tight.
7. Cozy flannel
[Pictured: American Eagle]
Flannels are my favorite shirt to wear when I want to look casual and stay warm. I love the new one from American Eagle called "Ahh-mazingly soft."8. Leggings

You can never seem to go wrong with a pair of black leggings. Not only are they comfortable enough to wear all day, but they match everything so you can dress them up or down for class.
If you've recently moved to a snowy state for school, you can't go wrong with any these items!
Stay warm!
