1. Hartshorne Woods Park (Middletown, NJ)

I had to start with a place I was very familiar with. So again, I am a bit partial, but this park gives you the best of both worlds. A great view of the ocean and bay and also great hiking trails.

2. Great Falls (Paterson, NJ)

A National Historic Site packed with a ton of culture and history. If you are able to go on a good day, you may even get to see the rainbow that appears over the falls!

3. The Red Mill (Clinton, NJ)

This site offers a cool museum and an amazing waterfall view!

4. Mount Mitchell Scenic Overlook (Middletown, NJ)

One of the best views of the greatest city in the world (NYC) and the beautiful ocean/bay area surrounding it. It also gives a great outlook of the beaches on Sandy Hook.

5. Mount Tammany (Hardwick, NJ)

A difficult hike but it's worth it at the top! This trek gives a great view of the Delaware River and is a part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which includes many different hiking and recreation spots.

6. High Point Monument (Sussex, NJ)

1,803 feet above sea level, this monument gives you an amazing view of the states surrounding NJ.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
