Ah, the weenie. The hot dog. The sausage. The dachshund.
They are a dog as long as their list of nicknames with the attitude to match. Sometimes we can't live with them, but heaven help us we know we couldn't live without them.
1. They enjoy their sunny days

Dogs love cuddles because it makes them nice and toasty. So obviously they love being nice and toasty in the sun.. even if it gives them a few extra freckles on their bellies. You can bet no matter the weather or the time, if there is a little bit of sun out, you'll definitely find this weenie sunbathing.
2. They'll always take your kisses, even if its against their will

Don't let the look of fear throw you off. Weenies love kisses all the time.. even if they act like they don't want them. Sometimes, if they're in an especially lovey mood, they may even kiss you back. But only on they're terms.
3. They're sleepy pups, which makes them great cuddle buddies

As I said, they love a good cuddle and if they're not sunbathing, they're probably sleeping or even sleeping in the sun. Either way, they're basically a furry pillow. Always wanting to be right underneith you and always wanting to burrow into the most awkward positions.
4. But that doesn't mean they aren't playful

Dachshunds or weenies are like fine wine or cheese, they only get better with age. Oh yeah, and they're also stinkers. You'll find that weenie will love to play as sleeping and sunbathing does get boring after a while. They're badger-hunters at heart so of course, they're gonna play around, ripping toys to shreds.
5. They love Christmas just like you and me

A weenie, as you can see, can be easily transformed into a bundle of Christmas joy with something as easy as antlers. They will dance around, barking at Christmas carols and decking the halls all the way.
6. They may get cold, but it's nothing a hat and sweater won't fix.

But when the Christmas cheer isn't enough to keep them warm, don't worry. Just as they enjoy dressing up in antlers, they're also more than willing to put on a cute hat/sweater combo to fight the winter blues.
7. Sometimes they might get hurt

Let's face it. Weenies are klutzy. They think their bodies are as big as their egos and it can get them into sticky situations. But no fear, they'll keep a positive attitude the whole time and as always, will do anything for food.
8. But that just means they need even more love

Weenies crave your love and attention. It makes them whole, makes them feel like they're on top of the world. Again.. only when they want it though. But when a daschund is feeling down, a quick cuddle or kiss will cheer them up right away.
9. Even from new friends

Weenies loooove to be loved. So much so they'll even take it from new friends (as long as they like those friends). They can be slow to warm up, but boy once they do they'll bug ya for attention just like they do to the rest of us.

Whatever ya call 'em, we know you love 'em. A weenie is the best cuddle buddy, little love bug, play pal, or man's best friend. They'll be there for you even if they don't necessarily want to be. They'll look dumb in almost every picture just to make you laugh. They'll let you dress them up just to make you happy. A dachshund is truly the world's wonderhund.
