8 Summer Cocktails To Top Off The Perfect Summer Day

Y'all know summer is almost here and you know what that means: sunshine and tan lines. If you're anything like me, you are ready to soak up the some and some booze. After a long, cold school year, I'm ready to grab a lawn chair and some friends and enjoy the sun with these drinks.

So go grab some mason jars and try out these drinks (click the names for a recipe):

1. Tequila Sunrise

Do you love tequila? Do you love orange juice? Well, then you'll love this drink too.

2. Southern Spiked Peach Iced Tea

This one may be a mouthful to say but imagine porch sitting with a tall glass and enjoying the summer breeze.

3. Margarita

You can never go wrong with this classic. Whether it's on the rocks or frozen, this drink is timeless. the best part is there's plenty of flavors too. From lime to mango, there are so many ways to spice up your summer days

4. Pina Colada

Like the song says "Do you like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain." Pineapple and rum, with a splash of coconut something to reach for when you're sitting on a beach or dreaming about having your toes in the sand.

5. Hurricane

Let's hope this drink doesn't destroy you.

6. Bahama Mama

With this drink in hand, all I wanna do is be on a beach.

7. Vodka Pink Lemonade Slush

Classic lemonade with a sweet twist to quench that summertime thirst.

8. Grapefruit Salty Dog

What could go wrong with Grapefruit and vodka? I guess you'll have to find out.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time.
