Why is it that most people feel like staying close to home makes for the most uneventful and boring summer ever? They couldn't be more wrong.
When did we start believing that the only way to have an amazing summer was to travel far away and barely ever be home?
When did our need for cool Instagram pictures of our vacations start overruling our need to just simply relax this summer, and enjoy ourselves? Isn't that what summer is all about?
All I can say is that, if you are sitting at home, wondering why you had "the worst summer ever", then it must be your own fault.
Get out and go do something. Be with your friends and family. Spend time with the people you love, doing things that you enjoy! I will admit, traveling to different countries or different cities all summer would be fun, but that doesn't mean staying close to home is a bad thing!
When I hear the word "summer", I think of barbecues and swimming pools. I think of staying up all night at a bonfire and sleeping all of the next day, with absolutely nothing to worry about. So why do most people spend their summer worrying about their plans for the next day? It's summer. Let go of your worries. Do whatever you want. Watch Netflix all day or spend your time shopping. Summer is the perfect time to "go with the flow", the only thing you should be worried about is how you're going to stay out of the heat!
