'Tis the season for peppermint flavored foods. Now that Thanksgiving has passed pumpkin-flavored foods are dying down and it’s peppermint foods time to shine.
During the holiday season restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, coffee shops, and food brands release their peppermint items and it is so important to be on the lookout for all of them. Here are the peppermint foods that I look forward to during this Christmas season!
1) Starbucks' Peppermint Cake Pop
The first thing to be on the lookout for this season is Starbucks' Peppermint Cake Pops. These little guys are peppermint chocolate cake coated in white chocolate icing and then topped with pieces of crushed candy cane pieces. So grab a pop and a hot cocoa to get you in the holiday spirit!
2) Chick-fil-A's Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake:
This is a personal favorite of mine. Chick-fil-A’s signature hand-spun vanilla ice cream with peppermint, and mini chocolate chips swirled in and then lastly topped with whipped cream. Even though it is cold it is so worth purchasing at least one of these this season.
3) Whole Foods' Dark Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels:
I discovered this little bag of goodness while I strolling through Whole Foods one day and boy am I thankful I stumbled upon these. They are mini pretzels covered in dark chocolate and topped with crushed candy cane pieces. The mix of sweet, salty, and minty is to die for.
4) William-Sonoma's Peppermint Bark:
William-Sonoma is known for being masters in all things kitchen and food and their peppermint bark is nothing short of spectacular. They use Guittard Dark Chocolate, then layer that with creamy white chocolate, and then top the bark with handmade peppermint candy cane pieces. Another plus they come in the cutest most festive holiday tin box!
5) Mayfield's Peppermint Stick Ice Cream:
Every year my family anxiously awaits Mayfield’s peppermint ice cream to come out. It’s personally my all time favorite flavor of theirs. It is peppermint ice cream with red and green peppermint candy pieces mixed in. It’s the perfect end to any holiday dinner! We like serving ours with chocolate cake for an unbeatable duo.
6) M & M’s White Chocolate Peppermint:
Everyone loves the classic M&M’s and obviously they had to come out with a holiday seasonal flavor (because every other flavor exists). White chocolate peppermint, need I say more?
So those are the 6 seasonal peppermint-flavored foods that I personally look forward to every Christmas season. They remind me of the holidays and make me happy! So everyone get excited because the peppermint season is here!
