When I was in high school, I was a huge fan of the TV show "One Tree Hill."

I have watched all 9 seasons twice, I cried while watching multiple episodes, and I looked colleges in North Carolina my senior year in high school because that is where "One Tree Hill" took place. I guess you could say I was obsessed. Even though I do not watch it all the time anymore, and I am definitely not as obsessed as I was in high school, it will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my favorite shows.

The show helped me realize that everyone has their own obstacles to get through, and there is a reason why people act the way they do. It also helped me remember that we are all stronger than we think, and we can overcome things even if we don't think we can.

Starting October 1st, Netflix will no longer stream "One Tree Hill." This news is devastating to me because I believe that "One Tree Hill" might be what everyone needs right now, especially through times of political and social chaos, natural disasters, and for people's overall well-being. But even though I cannot change the fate of this show on Netflix, I can give you some of the many amazing quotes from this show that you should always remember.

So here are some of the best "One Tree Hill" quotes to keep in mind when you are going through hard times, stress, or when you just need a little pick-me-up.

1. Lucas Scott

"Happiness comes in many forms: in the company of good friends, in the feeling you get when you make someone else’s dream come true, or in the promise of hope renewed. It’s okay to let yourself be happy because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be."

2. Coach Whitey

"The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments. Learn to let go of the past... and recognize that every day won't be sunny. And when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair... remember it's only in the black of night you can see the stars, and those stars will lead you back home.

So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble, to fall, cause most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for... Maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined... Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination."

3. Haley Scott

"You can choose to blame your circumstances on fate or bad luck or bad choices. Or you can fight back. Things aren’t always going to be fair in the real world. That’s just the way it is. But for the most part, you get what you give. Rest of your life is being shaped right now. With the dreams, you chase, the choices you make, and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time. And the rest of your life starts right now."

4. Nathan Scott

"You know what? Tragedies happen. What are you gonna do? Give up? Quit? No. I realize now that when your heart breaks, you gotta fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are. And that pain you feel? That's life. The confusion and fear, that's there to remind you that somewhere out there is something better. And that something is worth fighting for."

5. Keith Scott

"That pain in your stomach, that pain in your heart, it goes away. That voice in your head that's saying there's no way out... it's wrong."

6. Brooke Davis

"Someone once said, it's the good girls who keep diaries. The bad girls never have the time. Me? I just wanna live a life I'm gonna remember, even if I don't write it down."

7. Peyton Sawyer

At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes — all you need is one."

8. Brooke Davis

“If you had a friend you knew you’d never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it, do it, don’t wait. Nothing lasts forever.”

9 . Marvin "Mouth" McFadden

“It wasn't supposed to be this way. The artists, and the scientists, and the poets...none of them fit in at seventeen. You're supposed to get past it. Adults, they see kids killing kids and they know it's a tragedy because they used to be those kids. The bullies and the beaten and the loners. You're supposed to get past it. You're supposed to live long enough to take it back. Just take it all back.”

10. Nathan Scott

"It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re 17 and planning for someday. And then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
