5 Albums That Are Totally Worth Your Time & Money

If you've been desperately searching for new music, look no further.

Ariana Grande Sweetener

I'm the type of person that could listen to an album for days on end but gets bored easily when the radio only plays the same 10 songs over and over again. Luckily, though, many artists have been in the studio and have begun to release songs that have shaped a new era of music.

1. "Bloom" by Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan has been an up and coming artist for a while now, but his new album has truly allowed him to relate to his fans in a way he hasn't been able to before. "Bloom" is actually one of the songs on his album, and is, in my opinion, one of his best, but "The Good Side" takes my top spot! His songs are a good mix of slow and upbeat, and they give you something to listen to no matter what mood you're in.

2. "Sweetener" by Ariana Grande

Most of you have probably heard Ariana's song "no tears left to cry" play on the radio a million times, but all of the other songs on "Sweetener" really do live up to the hype of her popular hit. Ariana Grande's previous albums gave her a more edgy, popstar vibe, but this album definitely shows her softer side. One of my favorite songs on the album, "breathin," is about the star's battle with anxiety, something that she has become more open about since the album dropped.

3. "Light of Mine" by KYLE

KYLE

KYLE's new album features a lot of other great artists, including Kehlani and Khalid, which is what intrigued me to listen to the album in the first place. His style contains more of an R&B vibe mixed with some rap, but with the way his songs flow, you will still feel upbeat and happy after listening!

4. "Nation of Two" by Vance Joy

Vance Joy has been one of my favorite singers for the past few years, but somehow he managed to have "Nation of Two" top his previously famous album. Vance's music type hasn't changed much, so if you liked his old songs, you are sure to love the new ones! He is great at expressing emotion within his lyrics, so all of his music is gauranteed to give you some feels.

5. "COSMIC" by Bazzi

COSMIC

If you've ever wondered who sings the song "Mine" that has been on the radio the entire summer, here's your answer! Bazzi is actually an insanely good artist, and he loves to keep his songs simple and to the point, while still providing his fans with great songs to listen to. I love the energy that his music gives off, and it's exciting when an artist known for one song still has so many other amazing ones hidden within the same album!

It can be difficult and frustrating to find good music to listen to that wasn't released years ago, but these albums are ones that deserve lots of recognition, and after listening to them it will be so much easier to find music that you constantly want to listen to!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
