If you're baking/cooking challenged like me and can burn cereal, you know the frustration of not being able to make cookies. Like seriously, cookies are probably the easiest thing to make but you still manage to somehow mess it up. Trust me, I've been there.

This recipe is almost impossible to mess up and the results are amazing. Impress all your friends and earn major brownie (or cookie) points with your roommates when they come home to a plate of these.

Enjoy!

Ingredients:

8 tablespoons of salted butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

Chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and microwave butter until melted.

2. Combine butter and sugars. Add vanilla and the egg and mix until just incorporated.

3. Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until crumbles form then use your hands to combine into dough, adding chocolate chips once dough is formed.

4. Roll dough into 12 balls, line on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
