I recently stumbled upon Jon Bellion's album "The Human Condition." Needless to say, it was amazing. Then, I found songs off of his other album as well. And here I am, sharing with you all my favorite lines from these great songs:

1. From "He Is The Same"

"All the same, we are the same
Nothing has changed, we are the same"

2. From "80's Films"

"I can't let go and your lips feel retro
You're my Breakfast Club
You're my song from Cyndi Lauper"

3. From "All Time Low"

"Put your lips on mine and love the aftertaste"

4. From "New York Soul Pt. II"

"Bring me down in Brooklyn if I lose my life
Push me down the Hudson and turn on the radio
Long Island's own are smiling cause my soul is fine"

5. From "Fashion"

"There's an aching, there's a hole in my chest
It's amazing that the crown of a king doesn't change me"

6. From "Maybe IDK"

"Although I guess if I knew tomorrow
I guess I wouldn’t need faith
I guess if I never fell, I guess I wouldn’t need grace
I guess if I knew His plans, I guess He wouldn’t be God"

7. From "Woke The F*** Up"

"We live in an age where everything is staged
Where all we do is fake our feelings
I've been scared to put myself so out there"

8. From "Overwhelming"

"Cause everything about you is so overwhelming
Come over here and overwhelm me"

9. From "Weight of the World"

"Only the sound of my back breaking
But ever since you and your arms saved me
I don't hold the weight of the world anymore"

10. From "The Good In Me"

"Your heart's a vine that I've bled trying to climb
Yeah, you're making a ruin of me
Try to survive, keep my spirit alive
But like a knife in the woods
Yeah, you hunt down the good in me"

11. From "Morning in America" (This one is one of my favorite songs. I've been listening to it on repeat for days.)

"We're secretly out of control, nobody knows it
But my mom's got a problem with oxy's and she's angry
Cause my dad's office door's always closed
But I stopped knocking
Cause there's some things I don't wanna know
We're secretly out of control, nobody says it
When the class president overdosed, we all pretended
It was rare, it was shocking and all the town was talking
Yeah, we're secretly out of control and everyone knows
Oh, it's morning in America"

12. From "iRobot"

"Cause I had a fire, passion and desire
Now all I require are circuits and wires
Inside was an ocean of soul and emotion"

13. From "Guillotine"

"The secrets you tell me I'll take to my grave
There's bones in my closet, but you hang stuff anyway
And if you have nightmares, we'll dance on the bed"

14. From "Hand of God--Outro" (And that sums up the songs from "The Human Condition. These next few songs are from other albums.)

"Tears at a funeral, tears at a funeral, I might break
Angry at all the things, angry at all the things I can't change
When you're lost in the universe, lost in the universe
Don't lose faith
My mother says, "Your whole life's in the hand of God""

15. From "Human"

"The pastor tells me I've been saved, I'm fine
Then please explain to me why my chest still hurts"

16. From "Woodstock (Psychedelic Fiction)"

"There's way too many angels in the atmosphere"

17. From "Ooh" (Saving the best for last. This is also one of my favorites.)

"Your lips they taste like June
Your eyes are a rocket to the moon"

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
