Every celebrity has a twitter account with thousands of followers, but a lot of them are just a waste of your time.
Here are some of my favorites: the ones that are definitely worth a follow.
Ellen Degeneres
Example Tweet: “What did the blanket say when it fell off the bed? Oh sheet.”
Ellen Degeneres’s one-liners are hidden gems on a cluttered timeline. Her participation in #ClassicJokeWednesday is sure to add some laughs to your day.
Mindy Kaling
Example Tweet: “If you got it flaunt, if you don’t got it, flaunt it”
First of all, I feel the need to include the following disclaimer: if you are at all a fan of Mindy Kaling, you must read Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) this very second. With that being said, Mindy is a must-follow. Her girl power tweets are hilarious, and she interacts with equally funny stars daily.
Seth Rogan
Example Tweet: “My favorite part of trying on clothes is when I realize I would never buy the outfit I came in wearing.”
If you are a college student and you say you don’t like Seth Rogan, then you’re definitely lying. Seth Rogan tweets sneaky behind-the-scenes comments about his current projects that are just as funny as they are interesting.
Jimmy Fallon
Example Tweet: “A new study says it costs $245,000 to raise a child until they turn 18. Or $18 if you just give them an iPad. #fallonmono”
Fallon’s effortless humor transfers beautifully to the twitter platform. Jimmy Fallon tweets information about his show along with commentary on daily life that is too funny to pass up.
Anna Kendrick
Example Tweet: “I’m still hoping that I grow up to be Keira Knightly. #FingersCrossed #DreamBig”
Anna Kendrick is my dream best friend. She basically tweets what any twenty-something is thinking but may just be nervous to say out loud.
Jim Gaffigan
Example Tweet: “How long is it going to take those damn nerds to invent a bed with a microwave in it? Jeez!”
I may be biased since Jim Gaffigan is my favorite comedian, but his tweets are to die for. It’s impossible not to read his tweets with his signature voices and impeccable comedic timing.
BONUS: Michael Scott (a parody account: @Da_MichaelScott)
Example Tweet: “DO YOU USE TIDE DETERGENT?”
While Michael Scott may not be a real person, these tweets are the best tweets on my timeline. Each tweet brings me back to my favorite episodes of The Office. George Foreman Grill incident, anyone?
