4 Things To Be Thankful For This Year

As Thanksgiving approaches, it's important to take time and reflect on what you're thankful for in the past year. Maybe it's graduating college; maybe it's an award of accomplishment you achieved. Whatever it may be, Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful, spend with family and friends, and enjoy life. Here are 4 things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Family: Going away to college has made me miss and cherish my family that much more. I'm always thankful to have their support and love. This Thanksgiving, show your family how much you appreciate and love them. Tell your siblings how happy you are to have them. Family will always be there for you.

Friends: The family you got to choose, friends. They add so much spark and fun to your life. They're always there for you when you need them the most. The laugh and cry with you. They're there for wine nights, dinners and brunch. Thank them for always having your back. Thank them for for their support and love.

Health: I am very lucky to say I have good health. While some people are facing struggles with their health this year, appreciate that you are alive and well. Be thankful for the life you've been blessed with and reach out to others who may not have it as lucky as you.

Education: As most of us are enrolled in school, whether it's college or high school, it's important to understand that some people aren't as lucky. Many children and adults are not able to get an education like some. Be thankful for your education, as it will impact your future greatly. You have been blessed with an education to take you further in life.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
