“God is good all the time. And all the time, God is good.”

Although we may not feel as so at all times, I promise you He truly is.

The problem is not Him; the problem is our inability to see that the bad times are meant to strengthen us and help us flourish.

Nothing in this world will always be rainbows and butterflies. It is crucial to understand that there are no flowers without rain.

Sometimes there is lots of rain to the point where you will feel as if you are walking head first through a monsoon. But know that following will be the most amazing garden waiting for you to grow in.

We have all had our share of hardships, but the bad times make the good days oh so sweet.

You can choose to turn away from Him. You can choose to blame Him for why you are feeling hopeless. But I can promise you this, turning away from Him will only worsen the storm.

When you have nothing left to put your faith into, you will realize you were never alone before, and now you are.

He listens to you in your worst of times; cursing on the way to work in traffic, or crying in your room. He is there, and He is listening.

He may not always give us what we want, but He gives us exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.

There have been so many times God has graced me with obstacles that I had no idea the purpose of. I questioned Him, but I never once lost my faith. I knew what He was doing was meant to teach me so much more about myself, and it did.

Because God is good.

I am who I am because God loves me. God protects me, pushes me to what feels like the breaking point, but then rewards me with the greatest blessings.

God knows we are human. He knows we will fall down a million times, but He is cheering us on to get back up. Our faith can move mountains; even when you feel as if you are weak, He gives you power.

He is your backbone, all the time.

He gives you the courage you need to stand up to people who are hurting you, or strength to quit the job you aren’t happy with. God can’t always give you what you want, so instead, He throws you curve balls to help you build the tools you need in order to do what you want.

For example, God can’t make you a millionaire, but with by putting faith in Him, and trust in His power, He can help you to be hardworking, determined and undistracted in your work ethic.

But only if you let Him. You can’t only believe in Him when things are good.

Your favorite football team can’t only be your favorite team when they win the Super Bowl. That’s not genuine. You have to love God on your worst days when it feels like the sky is falling and you’re hopeless.

That is when you need Him the most.

So remember, the next time it feels as if you’re walking through a hurricane, there will be a drought. Filled with so much light, so much love that you will be wondering when the next storm will be.

But when times are good, don’t live in fear and anxiety over when it will all end. Instead, thank God for giving you the good days, but know that when the bad days come, He is there for you through those, too.

Our days are long and busy, and it often feels like some days we can’t catch a break. But find five seconds to talk to Him. On your way to work when you're stuck in traffic instead of cursing at the person in front of you, say, “God, I know that you are teaching me patience, and probably laughing at me right now for being frustrated."

Change your perspective; be grateful that you have a car to drive or a job to be late to. You don’t have to kneel down at your bed every night in order to pray. Any time you talk to Him is a prayer.

He is listening, and He will always be there because God is good all the time. And all the time, God is good.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
