Being Jewish Is Scary In Today's World

11 people dead in Pittsburgh at a synagogue. Why? For the hate of Jewish people.

I have not read much about the shooting which I will be reading about soon, but I don't need much to know that it was a hate crime against innocent people for simply being Jewish. This not only makes me feel saddened for the losses of those who were killed but I fear for my own life now as I am Jewish as well.

11 people were killed for minding their own business, following their religious beliefs which were not harming anyone. Although sometimes religious acts can harm others in society, these Jewish individuals were simply at a synagogue expressing their beliefs with loved ones.

Then a gunman came in and said: "All Jews must die!" Enough said that this was definitely a disgusting and heartbreaking hate crime.

I am shaking just writing this article, as I now fear going to temple in the future hoping that I can express my beliefs without worrying about my safety. I like being Jewish, even love being Jewish and should not be afraid of being targeted.

No religion, race, ethnicity, background, etc. should be targeted. And I can't believe that things like this are still happening today.

Rest in peace to those 11 innocent souls who died in the horrendous shooting.
