Becoming a a follower of Jesus Christ.

When most in this world hear that they instantly think of some "miss little perfect" type of person or maybe someone who never does anything wrong. Let me just say how incorrect that statement is, I am not perfect. I fall short quite often.

Our pasts do not define our present. Our flaws do not define our love for God and it doesn't make us any less worthy of salvation. We have all fallen short of the glory of God, but let us not take residence in the place that we fell. We do not have to stay there.

We are not given anything that can't handle. God doesn't give us tasks he doesn't think we can do. His way may not always be the easy way but it is the best way. It's the way that will be the best for you. We all stray away, We all have times when we think we should just give up. Everyone has low points of life it is how we choose to handle them. You can walk away from God, get into bad things and hurt yourself and others around you or you can stay with God, you can let him be your light in the darkness. God will give you all you need if you just seek him. He will change your mind and he will make it new. You are not too damaged for God you are lovable.

I know God has a plan for my life, and he's got one for your life as well. but just because I know that does not mean that I don't try to do things the way I want them. One thing that I learned very quickly is that you cannot fight God because when you are fighting him you are fighting against all the good, all the love, and all of the fullness of God. Do not fight God, allow him to enter your heart and let him start the transformation.

Despite my problems, my flaws and my not so perfect self. God loves me. Becoming a Christian gave me hope. Hope for my life, and hope for everyone I hold near to my heart hope for the broken families and hope for lost souls. With him you are safe. He will never leave you nor forsake you. It showed me that I am not too broken to be beautiful, that I am not unlovable. It gave me strength.

The enemy will try to knock you down but he tells us in Isaiah 41:10 "Don't be afraid for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." There is nothing we need more desperately than Christ. Focus on the lord and how you need him. Let the people around you see God within you. If you search for him wholeheartedly you will find him as it says in Jeremiah 29:13. Don't be a part time Christian who demands a full time God.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
