10 Reasons Bassett Hounds Are The Best

If you are thinking of getting a dog soon, but you are not completely sure as to what breed you want, basset hounds are a great way to go. Whether you have a family or are someone who lives by themselves, basset hounds are super chill and are good at adapting to whatever environment they are in.

Not only do they just make for a great pet in general, but their quirky ways and sweet personality will absolutely melt your heart. This is a breed that you really just can't go wrong with.

Their floppy ears don't compare to any other breed

Their little legs and floppy skin will make your hear melt

They like to nap 90% of the time, so they are the perfect cuddle buddy.

They are 100% child friendly because they are so chill

All they want is food, lovings, and a soft place to sleep.

They still enjoy play time, which makes them the best of both worlds.

They're natural born divas; not only do they want food, a place to sleep, and someone to pet them at all times, but they seem to require it. But hey, it's not too much to ask, right?

Those eyes. If you have never seen the look in a basset hound's eyes, then you've never seen the face of pure innocence.

They howl unlike any other breed, and its kind of awesome.
