If you can tell which direction is north with no help whatsoever, I'm impressed. If you can give me detailed directions including street signs and road names... forget it, I'll never remember.
If you have difficulty with directions, here are seven things that you will find way too relatable.
1. GPS is a way of life.
Going somewhere new without the help of your trusty GPS is one hundred percent, absolutely out of the question. You'll never find it.
2. If you need directions, you'll have to ask more than one person.
Because you'll be following someone's directions, but then the buildings will start to look a little differently than what they described, so you'll have to ask someone else. And repeat.
3. The phone ploy.
To avoid looking completely lost, if you realize that you are headed in the wrong direction, you casually slow your walking, look at your phone, look up, look back at your phone, make up a story in your head of how you don't have time to go wherever it is you were headed, and now you're going somewhere else. You turn around, convinced that you totally meant to do that, and you were never really lost at all. Anyone watching will be none the wiser.
4. The not-remembering thing.
When you got in the car, you promised yourself that you would pay attention this time which way you went so you could remember the directions. But, you always end up getting distracted by music or scenery or Instagram and there goes your chance.
5. Finding a new place on your own is a victory.

6. Confidence is key.
Giving directions is a whole different story. Because when someone picks you out of a crowd to ask you directions, your ego gets boosted a bit, because you must look like you know where you're going, and now someone wants your help. So you give them directions with as much confidence as you can muster. And then really hope that you were right.
7. At least it's an adventure.
You may get turned around a bit, but at least it'll be an adventure!
