It can be hard to get back into the swing of things when the school year first starts, however, with these 10 tips and tricks you're guaranteed to have a wonderful morning and a great day!

1. Wake up early

Waking up early, even if you only have afternoon classes, not only gives you more time in the day, but also will help you feel motivated to be productive throughout the day! (It also helps you appreciate those mid-day naps!)

2. Eat a great breakfast

Sitting through class with a hungry stomach is one of the worst feelings...so make sure you make or grab breakfast before class! Breakfast helps kick off your metabolism for the day to keep you awake and aware during class.

3. Workout

If you have time, try to squeeze in a quick morning workout! Even if its just 10 minutes of stretching or 30 crunches on the bedroom floor, having movement and some exercise will really get your day started on the right foot.

4. Make your bed

Making your bed right when you get out of it in the morning will not only help your productivity for the day but also it means you can't climb back into it...

5. Keep you room clean

Having a clean room helps you have a clean mind. Focusing on other things, like classes and homework, can seem more difficult when you're distracted by a messy room and clutter. So every morning or night just put a few things away!

6. Drink water

Drinking water is, hands-down, the single MOST important thing to do every morning...and all day! When you get up go straight to the kitchen and grab a glass of water, or fill up your reusable one! A glass of water with some apple cider vinegar (although not the tastiest) and lemon is awesome for your insides!

7. Pick out your outfits

Picking out your outfits for class will save you time and stress in the morning! Even if you just think about it before bed it will be a huge time-saver in the morning.

8. Do your homework!

You won't succeed in school if you don't do your homework! You have to prioritize studying and homework over most everything...which can be tricky sometimes in college, but you can do it!

9. Be on time

Being on time is essential for all aspects of your life. Being late to class shows a lack of motivation, along with being late in the business world! So be on time now, set five alarms if you have to!!!

10. Smile

Psychology proves that the more you smile, the better your mood will be!

So for a great school year, don't forget to make your mornings the best part of your day! Wake up feeling productive, motivated and refreshed with these tips and tricks and don't forget to smile!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
