You make me so proud

It's actually crazy to me how grown up you've become over these past few months. I've watched you grow into the young man you are becoming and I couldn't be prouder to be your big sister.

From the moment you were born I have always had this sick instinct to protect you, I never want you to hurt or feel hurt by anyone. Even though you are still so young; you are the most genuine person I know. My most favorite thing about you little brother is that you aren't afraid to express how you feel, whether that be in sports, school or everyday life. You are so unapologetically yourself and that is so refreshing to see in such a young person.

You understand my sense of humor more than anyone I know and you have the most caring and sensitive soul. I wish I could see the world through your eyes because I know how you view things; with compassion and honesty. Watching you grow up is one of the most rewarding things I have ever experienced. I have watched you take your first step, go to your first day of school, and even play your very first game of football. Each one of your many accomplishments makes me so proud to be your sister and I am so lucky to have you in my life.

When I look at you, little brother, with your big grin and you contagious sense of humor, I know that the world is a good place, and I also realize how lucky I am to have you. Always remember that I will be there for you no matter what, you are so important to me. As you continue to pursue your passions, no matter what they maybe, know I will be there for you cheering you on and I will also be there for you when it doesn't go the way you want it to. You never cease to amaze me with all your talents, hard work, and dedication. Keep working hard and doing what you love nobody can stop you from following your dream. You're my biggest inspiration and sometimes my only motivation. I love you so much, little brother.

Love always,

Your big sister

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
