You may not know this, but Spotify has a new student premium membership deal where for $5 a month, you get both Spotify Premium and Hulu. This was a godsend for me as a college student! I was sick of Netflix, watching the same shows over and over and feeling frustrated at the lack of movies I wanted to watch. Thankfully, this past month I was able to use the money I had saved up to get the student deal and I started my new round of shows. The shows below are some of what I consider to be the best that Hulu offers.
1. Lucifer
Okay, I'll admit I was definitely interested in this show before I had Hulu. However, I just never had the opportunity to see all of the episodes so I couldn't start! As of right now, I'm kind of in the middle of the show but it really is worth a watch. Please keep in mind it is a tiny bit inappropriate for younger audiences though because it focuses on Lucifer, yes the devil himself, in the mortal world and as you may have guessed, he gets into some trouble.
2. The Good Doctor
This show makes you feel every single emotion from happy to overwhelmingly sad, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The Good Doctor follows Shaun Murphy, a surgeon with autism, who moves from the countryside to a prestigious hospital. Check this one out!
3. Rick and Morty
At this point, if you haven't heard about Rick and Morty and you're in college, you've been living under a rock. This show is an all-time favorite comedy filled with raunchy humor, aliens, and plenty of crazy events. If you haven't watched an episode yet, or even if you're a fan, Hulu has a ton of great episodes to watch and catch up on the series with.
4. Golden Girls
This show is pretty old and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of college-age students haven't heard of Golden Girls. However, this is one of the most hilarious comedies I've watched in my whole life. I began watching this one with my mother, so you can imagine my nostalgic happiness when I saw that Golden Girls was on Hulu! Everything about this show is amazing and you should definitely watch it.
5. Gravity Falls
This show is all about mystery and friendship. It follows Dipper and Mabel and their adventures in Gravity Falls that land them in some supernatural situations. If you're looking for a little more in-depth animated show, Gravity Falls is the perfect one for you. It has a pretty cohesive plot along with some humorous villains and supporting characters. Hulu did well by including this one!
6. Chopped
Chopped is one of those shows that feeds into your dramatic side. Personally, I love this show for its suspense and sophisticated flare. Hulu has a lot of episodes from multiple seasons and a few Chopped Champion portions also! This show is absolutely terrific.
