'Avengers: Endgame' Movie Review (Spoiler-Free)

Wow. This much anticipated film did not disappoint. It knew exactly how to play with my emotions. And while there were many amazing aspects to this movie, which I will dive into a minute, I wanted to start out by saying something that I can't stop thinking about since I watched it: I think this should have been split into two movies.

I know Marvel had obligations in terms of contracts and time as well, but I think that so much happened in this movie that it could've easily been split into two, Deathly Hallows style, and it would have been just as good, if not better. I think there were two very distinct storylines, both of which were completely necessary to the telling of the plot, but I think if those two storylines were separate films, they could've developed the tension and tied up all the loose ends even more.

I noticed some plot things that just seemed to come out of nowhere, because this film is very fast-paced, considering it's the end of this era of Marvel, as we all have heard. There were just some points that I think needed a little more explanation on how they came to be, instead of just being thrown into the chaotic plot.

As I said, everything in this movie was absolutely necessary to the plot, but I think it could have built up a little more over the course of two films.

But, as I said, I know they had contractual limitations and time restraints. The writers definitely knew how they wanted to end it, and they included every important thing needed to achieve that goal, I just wanted it to slow down just a bit. Then again, I really just wanted another movie so I didn't have to witness the end of an era.

Besides that though, this movie was incredible. The writing for the characters was as amazing as always, and seeing the characters interact all friendly again for the first time since Civil War was emotional. The plot was intense and amazing, with something we have never seen before added in. It kept me on my toes the entire time, knowing exactly where to place the tension in each scene.

The fight scenes were fantastically done. There was enough action paced with the planning and also character development after the unfortunate events of "Infinity War" last year. Everything went perfectly well with each other, and the decisions for which relationships the film focused on was expertly chosen.

And the ending. I think they had a very nice conclusion to this era of Marvel, noting each character and where they are ending up. These endings also made me interested to see how the next phase or era of Marvel unfolds because there are so many new opportunities and questions that I still have. The ending was beautiful in its own way.

So, basically, I loved the plot of this film. I loved the characters, as always, and how it showed how much they've grown over the years of the MCU. I loved the action, the dialogue, and how the entire history of the MCU seemed to all tie together in one big, final, epic moment.

If you are really invested in Marvel and it's characters, be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. This film was beautifully and brilliantly done. Even though I wished it was a bit slower or separated into two films so that my heart could better handle the stress I was under, I loved every second of this film and that won't stop me from watching it again and again.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
