Welcome Back Audiotistic!
Insomniac Events

Audiotistic is back and better than ever! After a six year hiatus, Insomniac brought Audiotistic back to Mountain View’s Shoreline Amphitheater on July 15, and the hyped up revival did not disappoint.

The amphitheater housed two stages, the massive Frequency 1.1 and the smaller Frequency 2.2. Despite their differences in size, both stages boasted great music and talent, and by the peak of the night, both were packed.

Frequency 1.1 had Chevvy Chase, who kicked it all off, pumping the crowd up in time for French producer Habstrakt and Ghastly. By this time, the sun start to set and night crept in, bringing in more people just in time for NGHTMRE and Slander, who surprised with a first-ever, killer 2-hour B2B performance. Just their set alone would have made Audiotistic completely worth it, but wait— there’s more! Lil Uzi Vert also made an appearance, taking Playboi Carti with him. Their hip-hop performance gave a welcomed variety to the night, and of course, he played “Tour Life XO,” and had the entire crowd sing along. Flosstradamus followed, and finally, Marshmello closed out the night, putting on a solid signature performance to the pleasure of his many fans, who were easily identified through what were at least 50 iconic Marshmello helmets.

On the other side of the amphitheater, Frequency 2.2 kicked off with Young Nudy, and artists Angelz, Dombresky, Point Point, and JOYRYDE all graced the stage to an enthusiastic crowd. The performance that really stood out though was that of Keys N Krates, who absolutely smashed it. They also gave lucky fans a sneak peek of their new song “I Like to Play,” which is definitely a track to look out for!

Despite a six year break, Insomniac did not skip a beat with Audiotistic. The logistics were down pat— with an Uber/Lyft station, transportation and parking was a breeze, and volunteers made sure water was readily accessible, especially during the hot afternoon. The festival definitely lived up to the hype, and Audiotistic demonstrated yet again that they are the perfect, must-go festival for any Bay Area music lover. So whether you like to put it all out on the high-energy dance floor or you just want to chill on the lawn and listen to the music, don’t worry, because Audiotistic’s got you covered.

That is, if they don’t keep us waiting for another six years. Please come back soon Audiotistic!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
