This week, I decided to taste test some of Pringles most interesting flavors. I chose from the five most realistic flavors I saw at Walmart. There, I found Buffalo Ranch, Dill Pickle, Pizza, Salt and Vinegar and Jalapeño.
Now, some of them aren’t exactly wild flavors, but from the slim pickings on the shelf, that’s what I got:
So the first batch we tasted was Buffalo Ranch.
The flavor wasn’t as strong as I wanted it to be— not very ranch-y and not very strong in the buffalo-ness either. I was expecting more of a spicy flavor, like buffalo wings or a spicy ranch kind of tang.
Overall: I thought the flavor is decent but definitely could use more of a kick or coated more in seasoning.
Next was Jalapeno.
It was delicious! Tasted just like how I’d imagine a jalapeno chip to be— but like the buffalo ranch, it could have used some more seasoning on the chip to give it more of a kick.
Next up Spicy Dill Pickle.
Going into this one, I didn’t anticipate liking it at all mostly because I’m not a huge pickle fan, never the less the taste test went on. As I took a bite out of this, It didn't even taste like a pickle— It was horrible! It just tasted like the dill spice. I can positively say this was not my favorite flavor of the bunch.
Below you can see a photo of my boyfriend contemplating on trying the Dill flavored Pringles and his face says it all, folks:
Next, I was extremely excited to try the pizza one.
I mean who doesn’t love pizza? I had to get them. I think these are pretty close. I received a marinara type flavor off of it. It’s nicely covered in the seasoning so you can definitely tell it’s a pizza pringles. You can catch a hint of a cheesiness after taking a bite. For a chip that’s meant to be pizza flavored it’s pretty darn close. Like a fried Tostitos pizza roll— in chip form.
And lastly, Salt and Vinegar.
Probably the most normal flavor of the bunch. Not my first choice, but my boyfriend loves them so even if it’s not my cup of tea. He gave them two thumbs up.
Here are my ratings out of scale from 1-5, with five being the best and one being the worst— followed by my top favorite flavors which I enjoyed most to what I disliked most:
Buffalo Ranch: 3/5
SECOND CHOICE
Jalapeno: 4/5
THIRD CHOICE

LAST CHOICE
