Eight jokes you should not pull.

Don't Be April Foolish

April Fools is all fun and games until somebody takes a prank too far. It's always in good fun to play a practical joke on a friend or family member, but there are just some things that you should not do. Here are ten April Fools jokes or pranks that you should never pull on anyone.

1. "I'm pregnant."

This is neither original nor is it funny. Pretending to be pregnant is an immature joke that can hurt others, and can end in a beating from your parents or possibly getting disowned.

2. "I have (insert terminal illness here)."

This is another joke that should never be made. Don't be an ass, just don't.

3. A pie in the face.

If we are going to talk about jokes that aren't original, smashing things in a person's face has been done since the being of slapstick comedy. I'm not knocking slapstick, but come on! Come up with something better.

4. Wrapping cars.

If you're going to take the time to wrap a person's car, be aware that they might have consequences because of your actions. Don't be that person that makes them late for something important.

5. Suicide.

I should NOT have to explain this one.

6. Break ups.

Don't think about pretending to break up with your significant other. Even if you're just joking, they might not find it funny and you could actually end up single.

7. "Your house is on fire!"

Again, I feel like I shouldn't have to explain this. But, if you scare someone with a statement like this, you might want to be fearful for your own life.

8. Fake kidnapping

Have you ever wanted to sneak into your friend's house and tie them up and throw them in your car? Think twice before you do something that stupid. If your friends are anything like my best friend, they will have a bat or pepper spray by their beds.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
