IT’S ALMOST THANKSGIVING! That means that food is on everyone’s mind (and being thankful for everything in your life, of course). There’s always the classic turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. That’s considered to be “normal” food that people usually eat, like pizza or cookies. But has there ever been food where you just have no idea why it exists? Here’s a list of a few foods that are a little bit questionable:
Olive Loaf
Olives and meat are good by themselves. Putting them together doesn’t seem like a great combination.
Jell-O Salad
The mystery of what Jell-O is really made of still exists. If we don’t know what’s really in Jell-O, why would we mix it with other random foods and call it a “salad”?

Deep-Fried Butter
I never thought of butter as being a food you’d eat alone, but I guess deep-fried makes it okay?
Doughnut Burger
Burgers are great. Doughnuts are great. But together?
Kool-Aid Pickles (“Koolickles”)
First of all, the sour taste of a pickle is already too much for flavor…but adding Kool-Aid to the mix?
Bacon Ice Cream
Meat and dessert were never meant to be together.
Cheese Whiz
I don’t think this is real cheese.
Wonder Bread
Did it get its name because people wondered what it was really made of?
