Sometimes we ask questions and want to know the answer right away. It is human nature to want to know the response immediately and sometimes the answer does not come right away. For example: waiting on a test grade to be posted, and feeling like a failure, however it turns out that you actually did better than you thought, then had a sense of relief come over you. Prayer is the same way sometimes for many of us have heard that God answers in three ways: yes, no and I have something else planned. However when we pray to God he does hear our prayers and listens to our hearts. When you do not expect it the answer will come sometimes later than expected in our lives no matter where we are. For God the Father has the ultimate plan, even when it may not be clear for us for us to understand.
Psalm 39:12 (TNIV) "Here my prayer, LORD, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.
The answer may not always come when we expect it, however the prayers are heard and they are always answered in His timing. Being impatient while waiting is a difficult task and sometimes the answers will come when you are not expecting them and they will make a difference in your life. Prayer is powerful and it is a direct line to the Father who wants to hear his children. When we expect life to happen the way we vision it, some people become so focused on it that they do not make room for the one that matters the most. Life happens and it is full of many challenges, and with God by our side it may not be easy, though it will be worth it knowing that he is always there.
Ezra 9:6 (KJV) And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.
When we pray, we may ask God for certain things in our lives and though he always answers; it may sometimes be in the background without the realization that God is working behind the scenes for his purpose. Human nature tells us to give an answer right away, but sometimes the best answers will come when you do not realize it and how the process can show you that God is ultimately in charge. A-men.
