7 Things Drivers Do That Need To Be Outlawed On The Road, Full Stop

Wrote this after spending the first half of my summer driving 30 minutes to work and back

Disclaimer: I am not a cop. These may be laws. These may not be laws. I don't know. Either way, they should be enforced more or be turned into laws.

1. Cruising in the left lane

Nope. Don't do it. If there is nobody around you, get your car back into the right lane. If there is someone clearly trying to pass you in the left lane, get your car into the right lane and stay there. Shoutout to that one cop who pulled someone over for holding up 20 cars in the left lane.

2. Breaking before getting into a turn lane

Ok I do realize sometimes you have to, but if there's enough room to start breaking after you have merged into a turn lane, please do! Don't start breaking on the highway or road because then you slow everyone else down. And it's kind of dangerous.

3. Not using a blinker

I don't even have to explain this. The only exception would be if there was nobody around you.

4. Driving under the speed limit

No one likes to get stuck behind a driver who refuses to drive as fast as the speed limit.

5. Knowing a two lane road turns into one, then cutting everyone off

If you know a two lane road is going to be a one lane road, don't be a jerk and speed all the way to where it merges into one and cut off everyone.

6. Driving with two feet

If your brake lights are on... while you are driving full speed... you clearly need to just sell your car because you don't know how to drive.

7. Texting and driving

If you can't go an entire drive to wherever without picking up your phone, you have an addiction to your phone. Stop. Texting. And. Driving.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
