Hey girl!
I heard the bad news and I just wanted to extend my condolences during these hard times. Did it really end the way you described? Because that is a horrible ending – talk about ripping off the Band-Aid with no warning.
You binge watched it didn’t you? Oh, that’s the worst feeling! When you have to stop suddenly because there’s nothing left? Did you think you would grow old with them? Learn and grow and go through life together? I bet you thought you would be able to introduce them to your children in the future.
Well – I mean you still could! It just won’t be like the first time. Too bad it ended so soon. What are you going to do now?
I bet there are other shows out there! With characters just as great as these ones! No? Not the same? That’s what I thought too but then I found a new show!
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’ve been in your shoes and I know how it feels. Just last month I finished a show I really liked, but I really did find a new one. And I know you can find one too!
Sometimes it’s difficult to pace yourself with these things. You know if you binge you’ll finish too soon but you can’t help it, you really like these characters – and I’m sure they like you too! But ultimately, who gets your through those tough times where sleep evades you? Who inspires you to take breathes and self medicate yourself in times of exhaustion? WHO MAKES YOU LAUGH OR CRY BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN IN YOUR SHOES?!
You’re favorite TV show. I know. I’ve been there too, really.
No one will make your heart race like the main love interest and no one will be make you more furious than the antagonist. Inside that TV show you’ve got the best of both worlds. Why would you ever want to leave it? It doesn’t help that you’ve styled your entire schedule around these characters, making time to meet with them daily. You’ve even changed the way you dress, speak and interact with people to match them. There’s no chance you can go on without them now.
I know; it sucks. Why would the creators do this to you? You are their number one fan, you are the reason they could air for this long. Without you, they probably wouldn’t even have made it past the pilot episode! Let’s not get into the logistics of it – considering you definitely started watching this show probably years after it even debuted.
To be honest, this is just insulting, I know, I agree with you! It’s liked a back handed slap and maybe you should move on. You don’t need them! There are other fish in the sea!
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! Try something new; you never know what could happen! You could find a show you like even better than the last one!
