dear daddy,
ever since i was a little girl, you've always been my hero and with that, i'll always be your little girl. you were there to congratulate me on my victories and there to guide me during my hardships. you've been walking me through this path called life since before i can even remember and i will forever be thankful for that.
when i started growing up, you could say i wasn't a “normal" teenager because i always wanted to hangout with you, my friends came second. you did everything you could to make me happy but little did you know that your presence in my life was already making me the happiest girl in the world. you went out of your way to give me the best advice and shape me into the person i am today; even though if i could still be just half the person you are, that would be enough for me. you always had a way to make your goofiness brighten my darker days and handle every situation with such eloquence.
as i grew up more, life became tougher and you were still there like a superhero who had evil villains to take down. you encouraged me with your heart of gold to be the best person i could be and to always treat people the way i wanted to be treated— which still stands true today. you have 49 years on me but continue to give me just a little bit of your wisdom every single day. you let me know it's okay to be silly and also make me feel safe. you gave up everything to be there for me and my brother. if i could give you the world, i would because that's what you deserve.
thank you for giving me the best life. thank you for always providing. thank you for everything little thing you do. thank you for simply being you.
to my father, my hero:
you are kind. you are selfless. you are the best daddy i could have asked for.
love always,
your grateful little girl
