Hey there,

So it turns out you're the lucky one. You're the lucky guy who will soon become my best friend's husband. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit jealous and kind of not liking you right now. I am jealous because my best friend will soon be spending all her time with you and not me. I am kind of not liking you because it turns out I'm no longer the number one person she can count on. However, I am happy for her and for you. I am happy that after countless nights of talking about our future husbands, she has finally found hers. I am happy for you because you couldn't have found a better girl to spend the rest of your life with. She is my sister, my best friend and my person. I love her with all of my heart, and it feels me with joy to know you love her as much as I do.

Our days as a dynamic duo are counted since soon it'll be all about you two instead of all about her and me. Our days of staying up all night talking about our troubles are soon to be gone since it'll be you listening to her instead of me. Although I am happy for the both of you, I cannot help but feel sad as I realize there will be no more Chinese-food date nights and no more Bachelor in Paradise marathons. I guess what saddens me the most is realizing she no longer needs me. I will forever be by her side, but once you become her husband, it'll be you coming to the rescue, not me.

I am sad, but I am also excited. Right now, it feels like I'll soon be missing my best friend, but then I remember that once you two are married, I'll be gaining a brother. Yeah, that's right. I'm not going anywhere! I will be here to advise you when you don't seem to know what you did wrong. I will be praying for you when ever you piss her off, because let's be honest, she's scary when she's mad. I will forever be here as her bestfriend and as a new best friend to you. When you think you messed up, I'll be here to help you figure it out. When you're trying to surprise her, I'll be here to make sure you blow her mind. When things get tough, I will be here to remind the both of you that there is no love more pure than the love I see when you two look into each other's eyes.

You are her one-and-only, and I couldn't be happier. I'm her Christina Yang, but you are her McDreamy. Please make her happy and never take her for granted. She is strong, but she's also fragile. Love her without any limits, and you will see her doing the same. Don't you dare hurt her or else you'll have to deal with me. Make her smile every day and give her the life she deserves. You're a lucky man, but I'm even luckier for having a best friend like her.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
