I wanted to start off by saying "thank you," but all of the “thank yous” in the world would never be able to express how grateful I am to have you in my life. You pick me up when I fall, and remind me my self-worth. And when everything is going wrong, and I don’t have any answer to my problems, I know you will be there to guide, comfort and support me. Thank you for not always agreeing with me, because looking at your point-of-view on things makes me a well-rounded person. Thank you for telling me when I am wrong and for applauding me when I’m right. Thinking back to all of the times you knew I was wrong but still continued to accept and forgive me, reminds me of how lucky I am to have you all in my life. Your love and acceptance go beyond the words you speak and the advice you give me, but instead goes into my memories where they are stored for all the times I need a reminder of who I am and that the most important people in my life love and support me.
Thank you for turning all of my bad days into good ones. Whether it was a funny Snapchat you send me or a hilarious video on Twitter, it is a guarantee that I will laugh out loud. Thank you for all of the crazy memories, some that I don’t always remember the next day but will laugh at when you remind me. I will forever be grateful for all of the late night talks and confessions, and for just letting me rant non-stop about what’s bothering me. Thank you for never laughing at my crazy ideas and ambitions, but instead cheering me on from the sidelines, and if my ideas are a little too crazy I appreciate your upfront honesty towards me. I will always admire and value your opinion, even if I don’t agree with you. I will take into consideration what you tell me, and even if it might not seem that I took your advice on something, I can guarantee that your voice will pop into my head when I’m faced with a difficult situation.
I promise that I will always be there to pick you up when you fall, and to remind you of who you truly are. I will laugh at your funny videos and Snapchats, and I promise to send one back (regardless if I know you will screenshot them). I will always accept who you are and respect the mistakes you make. When life isn't looking so great for you, I promise to always be there to wipe your tears and remind you that everything will be OK. Most of all, I promise to support, love and help you throughout life. When things go wrong, and you feel as if there is no way out, remember that I’m always here.
