An Inside look into the new Urban Decay NAKED 3 pallet from a Beauty Geek

13

Over the Christmas Holiday, an item listed on nearly every young woman's gift list was flying off the shelves.  No, it wasn't the newest technology or smartphone. It was the third installment of the beloved Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette.

With its twelve velvety soft shades with the UD mark of quality, it's the must-have beauty product of the season. Women around the world fell in love with the first palette, Naked 1, because of its array of neutral colors. From creamy pearl to shimmery bronze and grey, these shadows can compliment any skin tone. Colors change subtly from light to dark as you move across the palette which makes any woman an expert in the art of shadow blending.

When Naked 2 came onto the market just over a year ago, it too flew off the shelves. They redesigned the case from its oringinal velvet finish to a more simple tin case, which made travel and clean up much easier. Urban Decay experts came up with twelve totally new neutral shadows containing greater variety than the first installment.

And now they've done it again. This time the twelve shades contain pink hues, ten of which are shimmery while two have a matte finish. This new installment of the Naked series is ideal for girls who have fairer skin with pink undertones who found it difficult to pull off many of the bronze-based shades in the Naked 1 and 2 palettes.

What draws most women into this palette is its use of various shades of rose-gold which look amazing on the lid. The colors are both eye catching, yet neutral and sophisticated at the same time.

The Naked 3 was put out on the market in late November of this past year and sold out completely within the very first week. Websites such as Etsy and Ebay began selling this coveted beauty staple for 50 percent higher than its original sale price of $52.

Even though it's a pretty steep price to pay, these palettes last years and contain a professional quality double-ended blending brush that fits perfectly inside the compact. So, this year instead of lusting over my friends' Nakeds, I think it's time that I invest in one myself. Online and in person reviews speak for themselves -- this item is hot, hot, hot!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
