Growing up I've never paid attention to politics. Didn't care for it, nor did it interest me. My dad got his degree in political science and he would always watch CNN. I would hear him yell and scream at the TV and I didn't understand why. He's a pretty dramatic person and I would always think to myself in the midst of his yelling that it's not that serious.

I beg to differ now because I understand how important it is for the right person to serve in office. Now I'm paying attention, now I find myself constantly staying up to date as much as I can with this presidential campaign. Why? Because the GOP frontrunner for the new presidential candidate is Donald Trump. Besides his disrespectful, ignorant and rude supporters, the rest of us are wondering.. is this really happening? How did this man make it so far? How does he have a chance in running America? And most importantly, who the hell is voting for this guy?!

When I first heard he was running for president, I thought it was a joke. Well, now this joke has become a worrisome reality. Donald Trump publicly says the most absurd and ridiculous things known to man. First off, let's talk about the fact that Donald Trump wants to build a wall on the border of Mexico to stop immigrants from coming in. I'm not Hispanic, but I was offended for them. (Not that he treats my people any better.) My initial thought was the Mexican culture brings us delicious tacos, burritos, elote, fajitas, etc. How does anyone have the audacity to not only say such a thing, but prevent more wonderful food from coming into America?!

After one of the worst terror attacks that happened in Paris, Trump says that America shouldn't allow Syrian refugees into our country for their safety. At such a devastating time for Syrians, that's something that should not have been said, but I wasn't shocked that it came from his mouth.

He demonizes Muslims and minorities are removed from his rallies. Just this past week, a woman by the name of Shiya Nwanguma was assaulted and harassed by white supremacists at a Trump rally. Black students at another Trump rally at Valdosta State University were asked to leave for no reason. The very place where they get educated. I'm sorry, but if you are a black woman or man that supports Donald Trump, you are not a brother or sister of mine. Let's not forget to mention his dad was arrested with KKK members for fighting with police. The same dad that gave him a small loan of a million dollars. *rolls eyes*

I can go on a rant about Donald Trump's bigotry but you guys get the point. All in all, what I'm trying to say is we can not let Donald Trump win this election. We can't go from Barack Obama, one of the best Presidents to serve, in my opinion, to a racist. I refuse to stay in America if Trump wins. God forbid that he does but if so, I will be relocating to Canada. Let me know if you would like to come with. Not only is healthcare free but they welcome Islamics, have a low rate of crime and I heard crowds of people welcome Syrian refugees with open arms at the airport. Sounds like a great place to me! Well, anywhere without Trump constantly speaking nonsense is more than a great place.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
