Amy Schumer, the highly talented comedic actress gives body confidence a whole new meaning in her latest photo-shoot with Pirelli Calendar. Nearly naked, the actress wears only a pair of lacy underwear and heels as she poses, sitting down on a stool with a cup of coffee in her right hand.

The actress looks relaxed in her photo, and that’s the look Annie Leibovitz wanted for the calendar this year. The vibe of the photo matched the feelings of Schumer. According to ET Online, she says that this is the best she’s felt and that she was comfortable throughout the whole shoot. Serena Williams was also photographed for the calendar giving off the same essence.

The photos released look raw and real - not the typical overly photoshopped, size zero model seen all over the runways. It’s sadly something not common to see these days, and it becomes exciting to the media when something like this is released to the public.

Schumer took to Twitter shortly after the photoshoot thanking Leibovitz and calling herself a “beautiful, gross, strong, thin, fat, pretty, ugly, sexy, disgusting, flawless, woman.” She acknowledges that every body type is beautiful and that there should be no such thing as body shaming.

Since Schumer came into the spotlight after the debut of the movie,Trainwreck, critics have said that she’s overweight and not fit for most of the female parts in Hollywood. They’ve also said similar things to other actresses such as Melissa McCarthy. A critic for the movie Identity Thief, called McCarthy a female hippo.

Many people are put down with negative comments everyday, and celebrities have been finding ways to continually shut out everyone who’s been bashing them.

With this photoshoot, critics will be wishing they hadn’t said a thing. After all, most of them aren’t a size zero either.
